Angela Parker is a TRUE hometown hero whose heart for service reaches across generations. Through her leadership with Project LIT of Huntersville, Angela is dedicated to ensuring that every child in Huntersville has FREE access to books and the joy of reading. Twice a month, she visits neighborhoods to distribute books and snacks, creating meaningful connections and sparking a love of literacy in countless young readers. She even organizes an Amazon wish list so children can request the specific books that inspire them most – a thoughtful touch that makes every child feel seen and valued.
But Angela’s kindness does not stop there. Each week, she brings warmth, laughter, and companionship to the residents of Hunter Village Nursing Home by hosting engaging activities like Bingo and organizing seasonal celebrations that brighten their days.
Angela gives so much of herself to the community – from the youngest readers to the cherished elders – bringing smiles, fostering connection, and reminding everyone of their worth. Her consistent compassion and dedication make Lake Norman a stronger, more caring place to call home.
