Dawne Kakitsis

Dawne Kakitsis (kuh kit sis) is a 26-year resident of the Lake Norman area. She and her husband, Sam, have two children and live in Cornelius. Dawne has been a servant leader throughout her life. Whether it was in the workplace or as a community and elementary school volunteer.

Dawne has a passion for education and racial equity. She has served as a catalyst in helping people through education as the Director of Education, Business Development, and Vice President of Operations at the Davidson Center. Dawne also lead the Racial Equity Initiative community group and facilitated opportunities to redefine racial unity and acceptance through education, socialization and discussion groups. As a volunteer with Global Minds United, she has held workshops for high school students that focus on inclusion and racial unity.

She has recently accepted a position as the Director of Fundraising and Marketing for the Smithville Community Coalition where she hopes to continue her journey as a servant leader.

Attorney Cameron Crump from The McIntosh Law Firm is here to congratulate Dawne and present her with a donation check for the charity of her choice.
